A Few months ago I decided to learn more about AR and the opportunities it could have in the changing retail market. The class was: Designing User Experience for Smart Things- Virtual Reality and Wearable Technology. These are a few slides from the presentation I put together in my spare time to share with the retail team at Ghirardelli on what new “experiences” we can offer in store to boost traffic and brand awareness. I am also working on a new packaging launch of “POP ART”summer. Featuring old cocoa advertising done in a new eye catching way. I thought the app would be a nice tie in with the bright engaging colors.
In addition to creating an AR app for a curated tour of the store, I rendered a concept for the Ghirardelli Hollywood store. It currently just has a few packaging boxes on a pedi stool. This is Hollywood blvd, where dreams are born and stars are made. The concept above shows that dramatic experience, taking the Bean to bar process and bring it to live. Between the beautiful creation of a small chocolate factory and using AR technology to bring the concept to life. I hope to engage everyone who walks by. (This is just a concept, and has not been put into action)
